  2. I'm a big fan of BJH, and the Victims of Circumstance tour in was the first concert I ever went to. so the more "pop" oriented content of the album was amongst my first exposure to the band, and I only subsequently went through the back catalogue, so did not realise that this was an album /5(25).

  6. "Victims of Circumstance", originally published in , gets the same treatment as "Ring of Changes" in this reissue. The sound has a good bass and is at its best compared to previous CD editions. The main CD includes extended versions of "I've got a feeling" and the title track/5(21).

  8. This isn't a good starting point for someone delving into the huge Barclay James Harvest catalog, but the album still doesn't fail. "Hold On" became a concert classic and "For Your Love" is one of the band's best ballads. "Inside My Nightmare" sounds a little too much like Elton John's "Act of War," but it is one of BJH's few up-tempo rockers/5(25).
